Project summary:

A leading aerospace company reached out to Advanced FRP to see if we could provide a coating system for a critical pressurized water tank. The tank was experiencing internal and external corrosion and had to be lined with a corrosion-resistant coating system. Further, due to the high operating pressure, the coating system had to have sufficient elongation to flex with the steel tank as it was pressurized. After an extensive engineering analysis, the customer was satisfied with the HP 400-2 Novo, a zero VOC novolac epoxy coating system. The system was successfully installed and the pressurized tank was returned to service without incident.
