Project summary:
During a planned outage, a pulp and paper plant found severe degradation to the weld seams in a critical chemical storage tank. The 23 ft. long cylindrical tank operated at elevated temperatures and contained a highly volatile and flammable liquid, turpentine. After spot welds were performed on the severely damaged weld seams, a full composite reinforcement was performed on the tank.
