Project summary:
A manufacturing facility reached out to Advanced FRP Systems to help with persistent leaks in a molten sulfur storage tank. The leaks were caused by a crack on the bottom section of the tank, near the tank chime. Advanced FRP recommended an acid-resistant, high-strength carbon fiber reinforcement system that would strengthen the steel tank, reduce the likelihood of crack propagation, and stop the persistent leaks of molten sulfur. The project was finished on time and the leak was completely arrested.
