Project summary:

A section of a buried reinforced concrete pipe at a major pipeline operator required structural reinforcement. Advanced FRP recommended a solution that first required the surface of the pipe to be grit blasted and the damaged sections repaired with a high build epoxy. 4-layers of high-strength carbon fiber reinforcement system were then wrapped around the entire pipe section. The composite repair can handle the full pressure of the pipeline and will provide fifty years of maintenance free service.
