As part of a transmission system refurbishment program, a New York regional utility provider looked to reduce dielectric fluid leaks and increase the reliability of its transmission system. A carbon fiber composite system capable of withstanding 1000 psi of internal pressure was installed on HPFF pipe-type cables.
